Music isn’t just sound—it’s emotion, atmosphere, and storytelling. For Charbel Bitar, known artistically as Sknny, music is a visceral experience, a language deeper than words.

Based in Lebanon, Charbel’s journey into music wasn’t conventional—it was fate.

At 15, he bought his first guitar from a school bully, an unusual start that set him on an unstoppable path. But instead of just playing covers, he was drawn to something more—to creating, composing, and breathing life into original music.

 

From Guitar to Film Scores

Hours turned into years of obsessive dedication, mastering the guitar and diving into the art of composition. As his musical curiosity expanded, so did his passion for music production. While he explored countless genres, one stood out above the rest: film music. There was always something captivating about the way a score could shape a scene, how a melody could whisper emotions louder than words.

Inspired by legendary composers like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Rob Lane, Ludwig Göransson, Trevor Morris, and Jóhann Jóhannsson, Charbel immersed himself in the craft of cinematic music. His influences stretch far beyond film, embracing the sonic worlds of Coldplay, Porcupine Tree, Sigur Rós, Rammstein, Above & Beyond, and more. From dark, emotional, and ambient soundscapes to the bittersweet and blissful, his music carries a unique signature—a powerful mix of melancholy, depth, and raw emotion.

 

Authenticity & Musical Identity

A graduate of McNally Smith College of Music (Minnesota, USA), Charbel refined his skills in composition and production, but his foundation was built on self-taught passion. His music doesn’t just follow trends; it translates emotions—blending cinematic grandeur with intimate, personal storytelling. Whether it’s an epic film score, an atmospheric ambient piece, or a progressive rock-infused journey, he has an uncanny ability to absorb and replicate any mood or style while maintaining his signature emotional depth.
